In the everyday life of a Cat, they spend most of their time doing what they are experts at - grooming and cleaning themselves. As such there is little need for human intervention (such as washing or bathing). However there are some exceptions. And in these circumstances you should bathe the cat in Quistel's Organic Bio-restoring Cat Shampoo. For instance 1) when someone in the same environment is allergic to or develops an allergy to Cats 2) the underlying layer of fur/hair is matted and the Cat is unable to separate the matting itself or the Cat just simply cannot cope with cleaning itself properly 3) the Cat has a skin problem such as fleas, ticks, miliary dermatitis, seborrhea, etc. 4) the Cat is covered with a substance which may be harmful if ingested, such as machine oil, pesticides, cleaning powders and fluids or 5) The Cat is being shown - a thorough bath a few days before the show is usually desirable It is our advice to keep bathing to an absolute minimum as it destroys the Cat's natural oils which, in turn, may then irritate the skin. Unsuitable shampoos and grooming products can also cause diarrhoea as all Cats will instinctively lick residues off its fur. The main pro-active ingredient is Arnica Montana. Arnica Montana has been used for centuries to treat external bruising, sprains and skin disorders in humans. Today humans are routinely prescribed Arnica Montana in various forms to reduce the swelling and bruising and aid promote healing following major plastic surgery.
