I was amazed at the price difference that this item was in a leading supermarket. It took a couple of goes for my dogs to accept it but they dont mind it at all, i found it very easy to use and as one of dogs is old i wont have to put her through the trauma of going to the groomer anymore , i would recomend the pedipaws to anyone i give it 10 out of 10

4 out of 5 stars dog groomer   June 5, 2010

Dog did not like it at first but I amsure he will get used to it the more it is used. I think it is the vibration not the noise that put him off. For gentle nail clipping it is ideal.

I like the device in theory. In practice, my Westie hates it as much as the clippers.

2 out of 5 stars Not recommended for filing small dogs' claws   August 14, 2009

I brought this item as my little chihuahua hates having her claws trimmed and this file seemed easier than cutting her claws. however, it was extremely fiddly with small claws especially when she was riggling around to avoid having it done. It maybe easier for larger dogs' claws but I wouldnt recommend it. It was quite noisy which my dog didnt like and also it had the most disgusting smell when the claws were filed. I found a couple of times the claw got caught in the machine too so I would say DO NOT USE! I think it would be quicker to just cut the claws instead. From now on I shall go to the vets for them to do it properly rather than try myself, its not worth the hassle and trauma for my dog :-(

2 out of 5 stars not happy !!   December 27, 2009

Bought this product recently and would like to say i was so very disappointed....firstly i struggled to get the C batteries to fit in .. it's a very tight fit you have to put pressure on to get them in...also when you press the wheel down onto the nail "it stops" going round.. you can't use any force with it, therefor i think it's a waist of time purchasing this item, i had to go to the local pet shop and get some nail clippers to do the job..........
