Cat Mate C50 Automatic 5 Meal Pet Feeder With 96 Hour Timer
We were going away for the weekend and as it was only a couple of days I didn't want to have to ask the neighbours (we were going on a 2 week holiday 3 weeks later and my neighbour very kindly offered to do the cats for us but I couldn't ask them to do this as well!)
This feeder was very simple to use and the cats ate from it straightaway. Just to make you all aware, there are 5 slots to put food not 4. One of the slots is open to start(obviously because you need to have a gap so the cats can eat!) and so you can use this to put food in as well. The feeder also has a handy section underneath the fresh food to put frozen "keepfresh" plastic bottles (supplied) to keep the food in good condition. When I go away I also leave the cats some dry food and water.
Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. The feeder meant that I didn't need to put my cats in a small enclosed home for 2 days at a cattery and I didn't have to ask my neighbour(again) to pop in and see my cats twice a day.
I'm glad I made this purchase and I will definitely recommend it to anyone who has a cat(s).

After realising that I had to rotate the lid anticlockwise first to 'set' the lid, all went very well. I did familiarise the cat with it by using it for a few days brfore hand (also gave me comfort that I had learnt to set it properly) Went away for a weekend and came back to each section empty and a happy cat so presume all went well!!

We have purchased 2 of these feeders for our two cats. They allowed us to go on a long weekend without having to get friends in to feed the cats. We found it a good idea to try the feeders out several days before we went away so the cats were used to the new system. Our cats associated food with people and took a while to understand that food can also appear without people! The feeders are so successful that we now use them even when we are not away. One of our cats managed to tamper with the timing device on his feeder but it has only happened once, soon after we began to use the feeders. We think that we probably didn't put the plastic cover over the timing device correctly on that one occasion.
We would thoroughly recommend this produce.

Having read the various reviews, I thought I would add mine. We purchased this for our previous cat seven years ago and despite him practically pulling it apart when he was wanting more food, it has stood the test of time. We bought this one in preference to another one that was on the market at the time, which was a wind up model and had a tendency to stop before getting to the final compartment!! Our present cat also enjoys using it and she is very fussy about her feeding bowls. Providing you DO read and follow the instructions carefully, it works fine and as recommended, it does say to try it out before you need to use it, just to iron out any possible teething problems and to make sure your cat is happy eating from it. If, like we had, you have a cat that may try to get into the next compartment, I would recommend that you securely fix the battery in place (I put a piece of sellotape over the battery), just to make sure if does not get dislodged and then they will go hungry!!
A good product that comes apart easy for cleaning.
