very insightful, and fun to read. i learned a LOT from this book, even after helping to raise quite a few cats in my childhood. the book focuses on practical solutions to every day behavioral issues. i'm sure my 2 kittens are glad i read it :)

I bought this book to introduce my never-owned-a -pet partner to how cats think -- but it's so over-done that it completely put him off. It's good as a very detailed reference work, but for 'how cats think' it's enough to make every minute into a complete neurotic crisis. If you've already lived with a pet and have a definite problem, this may be a useful book, but if you just want a general introduction to living with a cat, it's really far too much and would depress anyone.
