A comprehensive A - Z guide book October 5, 2009 dawndaneshmend (devon) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Preparing for my first cat that is a British shorthair, I wanted a book that I can refer to throughout the life of my pet.
This is an impressive book, very detailed and informative with excellent pictures. All DK books are beautiful and a pleasure to read.
I recommend this book for especially someone like myself, who is about to own their first kitten. It really is a complete guide book.
Cat Care Manual March 11, 2009 Nicola (Wales) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As a total novice to kitten and cat care, I found this book extremely useful. It is easy to read and digest, the colour illustrations aid the process, and each section is detailed, with helpful information about every aspect of bringing a feline into the family home. I especially liked the chapter about cat behaviour, and signs to be aware of in relation to stress or any form of discontent the animal may be experiencing. Well recommended, and easy to refer back to time and again.
Excellent first cat book to get June 4, 2009 E. Chittenden (Wiltshire, UK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Brilliant book. Well written with plenty of images and good descriptions. I wish we'd bought the Complete Dog Care Manual when we bought our dog. It would have been very useful.
A good first book to get if you're getting a kitten or a cat. Tells you the major illnesses, their symptoms and what you should do if you spot them. How to groom your cat, details about neutering, showing your cat and many more very useful pieces of information. A really good buy.
