i now have 2 of these one running on batteries one from the mains and they work... the cats still come into the garden but they dont hang around now. there are at least 4 different cats that were using my garden as a toilet but not anymore. all i can say is they work for me am happy with them and half the price on amazon than what you pay in the shops. also try a plastic container with holes in and bleach they hate the smell...
